BGS US is strengthening its leadership team as we enter our next phase of growth. Scott Mitchell has assumed the role of General Manager at BGS US, taking overall responsibility for the company and the continued operational development of our E-Beam facility in Pittsburgh, PA. Leonard (Len) Zuba, who has led BGS US as General Manager since 2024, has transitioned at his own request into the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
The expanded leadership team creates the resources to scale our operations and accelerate customer development and market growth.
Strengthening Operational Leadership
As General Manager, Scott oversees our operations and the continued development of the BGS US organization. Scott brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, engineering, and operations, with a strong track record in scaling businesses, building high-performance organizations, and driving operational excellence. His experience includes senior leadership positions in multi-site manufacturing and industrial organizations as well as responsibility for large-scale production operations.
His operational expertise will support us as we continue to strengthen our processes, plant efficiency, organizational capabilities, and capacity in line with our long-term growth trajectory.
Dedicated Focus on Sales and Customer Development
In his new role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Len focuses on expanding customer relationships, developing new business, and strengthening our position in the U.S. market. Len played a key role in establishing BGS US and starting up our 100,000-square-foot E-Beam facility in Pittsburgh, PA.
His combination of technical and commercial experience, deep knowledge of our business, and established customer relationships provides a strong foundation for driving new business with both existing and new customers.
Expanding Leadership Capacity for Growth
“BGS US has reached an important stage in its development, and expanding our leadership capacity is the right next step to support continued growth,” said Dr. Andreas Ostrowicki, CEO of BGS Beta-Gamma-Service.
“Scott brings extensive operational and manufacturing leadership experience that will help us further develop the organization and our U.S. facility. At the same time, Len’s deep knowledge of BGS US, our customers, and the market makes him exceptionally well positioned to focus on accelerating sales and customer development. I am very pleased that we can build on the strong foundation established over the past two years with this expanded leadership team.”
