Transportation to and from our facilities involves detailed planning among you, your shipper, and us. Following irradiation and release through our quality department, your products are ready for pickup and direct delivery to their destinations.

Standard ramps are available at our Pittsburgh location for loading and unloading trucks. It is important to coordinate custom deliveries and pickups in advance to ensure smooth product handling.
Regarding delivery forms and packaging, you should always consider ones that are suitable for automatic processing because this is one of the key features of our electron accelerators. For a smooth irradiation process, it is essential that the packaging configuration defined during validation is maintained. Every change requires new validation. Our experts are happy to advise you.
WITHOUT WASTING TIME

During sterilization, we apply the product-specific radiation dose and confirm it after the irradiation process using the attached dosimeters. If everything meets the specifications, immediate approval is given by quality assurance and the product is then ready for immediate use. The transport logistics to the end customer are seamless, which results in significant time and cost savings for you.
TO FINISH
FINAL REGISTRATION AND COLLECTION
Our normal lead time is between 5 and 10 working days and based on individual agreement. We provide estimated collection dates depending on the quantity delivered and capacity utilization. Upon completion of each irradiation, you automatically receive a completion notification. This feature of our system allows you to arrange transportation. Also, each irradiation is accompanied by various documents, such as certificates, available when you receive notification of completion.

Is there a waiting time after irradiation?
After the irradiation process, our quality assurance department checks whether the correct radiation dose has been applied, using dosimeters. The product is then ready for immediate use.
What types of packaging are suitable?
How much time does it take for completion?
The normal lead time at BGS is 5 to 10 working days. Depending upon order size and system capacity utilization, we can offer you express processing within 24 hours in close coordination.
In what form can products be delivered?
Products can be delivered as packaged units, such as cardboard boxes on pallets. For safety reasons, we do not accept flammable liquids or pressurized containers in our facilities. As suitability of the packaging for our handling system is key, we will validate this with you before routine production.
